Xponent Photonics Sees $23 Million Series C Round

MONROVIA, CA -- Chip maker Xponent Technologies announced the close of its series C round, receiving $23 million in new investment.

The company, which was founded in 2001, designs semiconductor chips using "surface mount photonics" chip architecture that allows increased performance, reduced size and better reliability at a reduced cost.

Investors included lead American River Ventures, El Dorado Ventures, Arcturus Capital and the Samsung Group.
